On 27 December 2009 afternoon, Kian Boon suddenly find me and suggested to go watch movie. So, after asking few of our friends and involve intense discussion, it was decided that we go for a yumcha session at The Junk before headed to The Spring to watch Sherlock Holmes, 10.45pm screening time.
So, I fetch Yu Wee and Sin Ee and went to The Junk first while Kian Boon and Joshua went to The Spring to buy the movie ticket beforehand. The atmosphere at The Junk is really nice. A lot of Tao decoration plus local decoration. The lighting is dim to create a suitable environment. The food are expensive but serve in large portion. Drinks wise, many choices are available and they even serve 'Tuak'. Tuak is a type of wine made by the Iban and the alcohol contain about 40 % and above, I think since I never drink before. This yumcha session consider quite lay back and full of laughter. The Junk is in Kuching for quite some times already and it was the first time Yu Wee, Joshua an Kian Boon went there. The junk is located beside Ting and Ting supermarket, same row with The Living Room and Bla Bla Bla. Not that hard to find.
After sending Sin Ee home, we all went to The Spring for our movie session. When we enter the theater, the movie already started. Not what I expected since we were late for only 10 minutes. Since MBO is famous for late, I wonder how come this time so punctual and early somemore. Haiz. Overall, the movie was consider not bad. The bad part is bit hard to understand what they are speaking due to their slang. Whats more disappointing is the subtitles do not match what they are saying. The movie quite exciting at some part and funny as well. In the end, the good guy always win and Sherlock Holmes will always solve the case.
