Economy Crisis in McDonalds

As everyone of us have read or seen or heard from around us, everywhere in this world is facing economy crisis with the increment of price of practically everything. Here is an example of what I'm mentioning.

In McDonalds, the favourite burger is the Spicy Chicken McDeluxe, which has been increasing its price from time to time. Last time, I think in the year 2007 when I'm in KL, the price of this regular set menu is below RM 9 without the tax. Now in 2009, the price has increased to RM 10+ without the tax. The price increase with the same size and quality of burger. Isn't it the more people buy, the less cost it is?? A question to ponder about.

Another example is the McFlurry. Last Thursday, I went to McDonalds to buy McFlurry as my mood is down and cannot study. When the people pass me the McFlurry, I was surprised to see the size of the cup. Here is the picture. As far as I can recall, the size of the cup should not be that short.

For comparision, observe the height of the cup as well as the location of the picture on the cup and you will notice the reduction in the height of the cup. What a waste of money thinking that i can enjoy and indulge myself in eating ice cream to cheer myself up and build up my mood. After eating the ice cream, my mood do feel better, but sad due to small portion. However, is the amount of ice cream inside the new cup same with the old cup??hmm...

Being in economy crisis with price of everything went up, they have no choice but to reduce the quantity of food while keeping the same price. I think i will not purchase the McFlurry again in the near future.
